Like children playing…

Darting in and out
like children playing,
chasing, sweeping
the air joyfully.

Warm sun caresses their bodies
they become signs
of hovering heat.

They have no cares
as they giggle and squeal,
only delight.

We name them for their movement
yet we view them uncertainly,
for they are flies.
