Loving God,
who made your servant Aidan
a wanderer among the English
that he might bring them home to your kingdom,
grant us, after his example, to walk so faithfully
along the pathways of this life,
that in all our converse with others
we may commend the saving gospel
of your Son Jesus Christ;
who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever
