After the storm of the day

Photo: Gill Henwood

On 10 Sep 2022, my friend, Gill Henwood has sent me this:

Full Moon Over Hawkshead, Cumbria, Lake District.

The full moon (I think) is with Jupiter to the left, shining in the clear night sky as the season changes
…. In the skies there is a strange calm after the storm of sudden shock, loss, bereavement.

In the moon and the planets, with the stars shining brightly all around, ‘the heavens are telling’ that God is with us, beyond us, encompassing us, holding us – Her beloved Majesty;  her family, and all her subjects – in the Everlasting Arms.

May Elizabeth our dear departed Queen  rest in peace this night.
May His Majesty the King, His Consort, Queen Camilla, William, Prince of Wales, and all the Royal Family know ‘the peace that passeth all understanding’.
May we all sleep, entrusting ourselves to Love, in this unsettling and deeply sad time.

‘Keep me as the apple of your eye.
Hide me under the shadow of your wings.’
